Shi Jing is currently a research fellow at the Institute for International and Area Studies, Tsinghua University. He earned his doctorate from Tsinghua University in August 2020, focusing on the Russia-Georgia War of 2008. Since his PhD stage, Shi Jing has completed academic internships at the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (Tbilisi, Georgia), Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University), Yerevan State University and Center of Analysis of International Relations (Baku, Azerbaijan). During the 2018-2019 academic year, he was a visiting fellow at the Harriman Institute, Columbia University. From 2022 to 2023, he served as a postdoctoral fellow at St Antony’s College, University of Oxford. His primary research interests revolve around the politics and international relations of the South Caucasus region, with a particular emphasis on Georgia. In addition to his doctoral thesis, his recent publications focus on issues related to the Caucasus region.
